Infill is not optional on a soccer pitch — it keeps fibres upright, protects the backing from UV, and controls ball bounce and player footing. As a rule of thumb, 40mm turf takes a lighter sand-and-rubber dressing, while 50mm and 60mm systems need deeper infill over a shock pad.
